The core rules of a jigsaw sudoku free printable are identical to the standard game, but the visual strategy requires a different approach:
- The Basics: Every horizontal row and vertical column must contain the numbers 1 through 9 without repeating.
- The Irregular Regions: Instead of 3×3 squares, the grid is divided into 9 twisting, irregular shapes. Every single one of these 9-cell irregular shapes must also contain the numbers 1 through 9.
- The Law of Leftovers: Because shapes often wrap around corners and spill into neighboring rows, you can use deductive math. If a shape takes up 8 cells of a single column, the one “leftover” cell protruding outside the shape must perfectly match whatever number is missing from that column!
